A Technologically Advanced Sterilizing System

Sterilization refers to the process of making something free from bacteria or other microorganisms. This process is extremely important in the field of medicine to remove the possibility of cross-contamination. All of our surgical instruments go through several protocols to ensure absolute sterility. The steps that we follow exceed the standards currently required by law to ensure patient safety.

The Steps of Sterilization

Our office is equipped with a state-of-the-art Surgical Washer Disinfector, which is designed to clean and disinfect surgical instruments prior to the sterilization process. This initial step is rare outside of non-hospital practices, but we take patient care and safety extremely seriously and want to reduce the risk of cross-contamination.

The next step in the process uses steam and intense heat (170-220 ℉), which eliminates bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores. By having this technology in our office, the sterilization process is faster and easier, and it eliminates the need to have our instruments sterilized in a hospital, where there is a risk for hospital-spread infections.
