Meet Dr. James Buckley
Originally from Maryland, Dr. James Buckley was inspired to pursue oral surgery after seeing the positive impact that his orthodontist and oral surgeon made during his childhood.
About Dr. Buckley
Dr. Buckley feels inspired as an oral surgeon to be able to help people on a daily basis. He feels privileged to be able to alleviate pain or discomfort and provide a positive experience for his patients. When looking for a practice to join, he searched for one that valued patient care and experience. It was very clear that Dr. Foxson put patients at the forefront of his focus, and Dr. Buckley was excited to join the highly efficient team at Naperville Oral Surgery & Dental Implants.
Education & Residency
Dr. Buckley completed his undergraduate education at Gettysburg College and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dentistry. In order to further his medical expertise, he earned a Medical Degree (MD) from Thomas Jefferson Medical College. Dr. Buckley completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
Dr. Buckley is Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certified. He is a member of many professional organizations, including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), the American Dental Association, the American Medical Association, the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States, and the Great Lakes Dental Society.
Outside of Work
When he’s not at work, Dr. Buckley enjoys live music, picking steamed crabs, traveling, and spending time with his wife and two children.
