When a tooth is broken, damaged, or decayed, it can sometimes be fixed with a crown, filling, or root canal. However, badly damaged teeth that are beyond the point of saving have only one option left: extraction. While this may sound intense, it is a safe and commonly performed procedure that protects the health of your other teeth.
Oral health issues are typically caused by improper care of teeth. Common reasons for needing a tooth extracted include:
We will perform a comprehensive 3D scan of your mouth using our advanced Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) scanning technology, digital X-rays, or our handheld iTero® digital scanner.
Have you been referred by a dentist because of a troublesome tooth, or are you seeking relief from pain caused by an infected or damaged tooth? You’ve found the right place! We look forward to alleviating pain due to an infected tooth or improving your oral health by performing general extractions.
Your doctor will administer the selected form of anesthesia or sedation that was discussed during your first visit. If you are receiving a dental implant to replace the tooth, the implant post can sometimes be placed the same day as the extraction. Our office also utilizes advanced sterilization equipment for our surgical instruments, which reduces the risk of cross-contamination.

Lidocaine is administered directly to the surgical area to make the area numb. It can also be combined with other anesthesia options for more complex surgeries.
Commonly referred to as laughing gas, nitrous oxide is inhaled through a mask. This can be used in combination with other forms of anesthesia and helps the patient ease into a relaxed but conscious state.
Intravenous (IV) sedation is great for patients experiencing surgical anxiety and renders the patient unconscious for the duration of the procedure.
